Thank You...

If you are a parent of one of our incredible young people at XL youth, I'd like to start by thanking you. See, I have a theory that you simply aren't appreciated enough. It's such a tough job raising a child today, and we want to thank you for the great job you're doing. We at XL believe that our role is to partner with parents in helping all our young people to become all that they can be, and we believe that's massive!

Thank you for your support in giving lifts, financing trips, speaking with your son/daughter about what's going on in their life, basically all of it! You make more of a difference than you know.

Thanks and God Bless,

Stew

What is XL Youth?

XL Youth is the youth department of The Bridge Church. A growing, vibrant, family and community focused church. We believe in empowering young people to 'Live XL' - A big, passionate, sold out life for God.

What happens on a Friday night at XL?

The chances are you've found our website because your son or daughter has been to XL Youth on a Friday evening. We have a whole range of activities throughout the week including activities and schools work but our Friday nights are our 'flagship' programs.

We run every Friday evening from 7-9:30. The cafe is open for young people to catch up, buy a drink or a snack and just hang out before the main program begins. Content varies from program to program, but the rest of the evening will generally involve loud, contemporary worship with the XL Band, videos, music, challenges, giveaways, Bible based relevant life teaching and shamelessly having a laugh!

Where does it happen?

Most of our projects, including XL Youth on a Friday, happen at The Bridge Buckhurst Hill, 29 Princes Road, Buckhurst Hill, IG9 5EE. For full contact info, please cick on the 'Contact us' logo.

What else goes on at XL?

We're passionate about providing great programmes and opportunities for all young people who attend XL Youth. Aside from our Friday Nights, we also run midweek activities, are involved in work in schools, mentoring, and loads more. We attend a number of trips annually, such as a mission trip to Slovakia, an annual weekend away that we run ourselves, and we take a group along to !Audacious conference every summer (www.liveaudacious.com).

Who runs XL Youth?

Stewart Elman is the Youth Pastor for The Bridge Church and he oversees all activities for young people at The Bridge and The Bridge Church. He is aided by an excellent team of volunteers who are all CRB checked and passionate about what they do.

I have questions, who can I ask?

If you have any questions about XL, our programs or anything else about us then please feel free to email Stew on the email which is found in the 'Contact us' section.
